The purest fish oil comes from the Hoki fish caught
in the pristine waters off the coast of New Zealand. Learn
more about this high-quality fish oil product offering high levels of
Omega 3 DHA with no comtaminants.

This book very completely lays out the science behind supplemental fish oil, eicasonoids and hormonal balance, carbohydrates and insulin control, blood lipid profiles and calorie restriction for anti-aging. The Zone Diet (30% fat, 40% carb, 30% protein) is, unfortunately, a marketing device with questionable effectiveness. Nonetheless a very good scientific study of diet and nutrition.

The appendices give nice concise tips for dealing with a multitude of common health concerns as well as tasty recipes. He occasionally misses the mark, like not recognizing the health benefits of moderate alcohol use, and his diet relies on high carbohydrate intake, takes away most protein while at the same time (correctly) warning against consumption of most of the common carbs in the American diet. His diet would be hard to achieve with our modern lifestyles given primary focus on fruits and vegetables. His recommendations on fat are right on the money though.
